The in vehicle or desk top mobile radio has always been an essential device for operations ranging from local taxi companies to forestry works, from isolated police stations to back pack mounted mountain rescue and eveything inbetween.

 

Mobile radios mounted on fixed 12V desk top power supplies are known as "Base Stations" or "Trigger sets" and when they are connected to a tuned high mounted gain aerial they will often receive and transmit communication from outlying operators that a handset will not.

Both the tern and swift are built on an extremely strong chassis, the swift is our entry level DMR digital mobile with an LCD display and more compact form, ideal for fitting into cramped locations. The Tern is a full systems DMR mobile the equal of any other similar systems mobile.  Full of features and functions and operational benefits the least of which is an SFR capability as well as remote head/display and double head/display operations which can add a cost saving on most command and control installations. The display is full colour and the Tern shares much of its firmware and software with the new HUSKY CHINOOK.
