This GRIZZLY G2 is Designed to operate in the harshest, coldest and most miserable of conditions!

With IP68 and Mil Spec H and an excellent 15/20 DTAP capability the GRIZZLY G2 will keep operating in the most adverse conditions.

In keeping with the Alaskan Husky moto of "Everything you need, nothing you don't" The GRIZZLY G2 concentrates on its real work abilities, these being super loud & clear audio partly due to a deeper speaker chamber.

A very tough & rugged case design with more gently curves to help shrug of dents and scrapes, massive battery capacity with a huge duty cycle, highly tactile PTT and knurled on/off/channel knobs (best in the industry), efficient aerial design to name a few.

The GRIZZLY G2 has all that you need, an effective 1000W of BTL driven audio enhanced by A Mic noise reduction and speaker optimiser system/firmware and a speaker grill and mic design that rates a near 16 out of 20 in terms of our DTAP rating.

The GRIZZLY G2 takes much of its design from the new Husky Alaskan H4 but with an enhanced case design to maximise both speaker audio output and the DTAP rating for use in heavy rain, liquid and moisture environments for which it gain a respecable 15/20 rating.

The GRIZZLY G2 specification is impressive by any standard, IP68 is standard, Mil Spec 810 G+ is standard and a MASSIVE 2600 mAh Li-Ion battery is standard.

The GRIZZLY G2 PTT cover plate has a 100% operational efficiency, simply put the PTT will operate no matter where on the PTT cover plate you press. This makes operation in the cold, dark, wet and windy environments easy and reliable even when wearing gloves.

A full 55mm Heavy duty, highly sprung, screw in belt clip ensure that the GRIZZLY G2 will stay on your belt or rucksack.

The GRIZZLY G2 has two side function buttons which can be programmed to enable features such as scan, vox etc. A discreet but larger orange top mounted button is reserved for emergency call.

An dedicated noise reduction IC is fitted as standard so as to quieten background noise and a software driven speaker optimiser is also a programming option to enhance audio quality and loudness/volume.

The GRIZZLY G2 is available to order in different case colours to suit various safety and other applications.

The GRIZZLY G2 is available in both UHF and VHF bands and comes standard with a massive capacity 2600mAh battery, giving a 19.5 hour duty cycle.

This 2600mAh lithium Ion high capacity battery is standard on the GRIZZLY G2 with a veritable tour de force 3000mAh battery available as an option along side a lightweight 2200mAh battery, available as a no cost option at the point of purchase.

DTAP: Almost all modern digital radios are designed with small to very small mic holes and horizontal speaker grills which can simple clog up with rain, water or other liquids. This can and does reduce the effective spoken to mic audio input by up to 95%, further the design of many of the radio case speaker grills also trap water in the speaker chamber thus making the already greatly reduced transmitted audio, when received, even quieter! In other radios this can be so quiet that the received audio simply cannot be heard.

Like the KODIAK 2 the GRIZZLY G2 has been designed to allow any water trapped in the mic hole or speaker chamber to be simply cleared by a double tap of the radio against the users leg or hand - we call this double tap or DTAP.
