The Chinook can offer confidence feedback by alternating from transmitting the emergency call to monitoring any received call from any network radio on a pre-programmed timed switchover basis which can also last all day and all night **.
And your operating in a high risk enviroment and you have an emergency, you need to hit the top mounted emergency call button which generates a local siren and a transmits a digital code to all receiving radios but that won't tell anyone what the problem is!
No problem for the Chinook, it can have up to 32 or more dedicated voice messages enabled to "speak" the nature of the emergency alarm to all receiving radios whilst transmitting the emergency alarm. From transmitting a simple message such as "Alarm 1" to "GR 346 784" to "Plant Room 1" to "ERV 10".
The Chinook can even have bespoke industry or situation aware messages programmed and encoded into its emergency alarm memory repertoire for onward transmission to all receiving radios.
You now have to SHUNT locomotives all day over a busy maintenance yard or even active lines.
Again no problem for the Chinook, any one of its three side buttons can be nominated as the button to initiate the shunting tone which will run constantly until the operator takes his finger of the designated function button.
The Chinook can generate legally accepted and standard shunting tones in both analogue and DMR digital. The top side function button is designed to be shrouded within the PTT assemble and deploys a tighter operation micro switch so as to force a deliberate hard pressing action to trigger any function programmed onto the button, this guards against a light press accidently triggering an important function such as lone worker or shunting or other adanced safety function.
The lower two function buttons have a lighter press action for functions which require a constant push such as shunting safety tone control. All function buttons can be programmed to operate all functions and applications.

The HUSKY Chinook is born tough - really tough and is our most deeply textured and ruggedised case design to date, noticeable more textured than most other radios and that helps the Chinook shrug off knock and drops helping to maintain the professional look and actual durability of your Chinook.
The battery and belt clip are also equally textured, not just for a professional look, but to protect all parts of the Chinook from day to day knocks and drops.
The Belt clip is full size able to take a 2.5 inch equipment belt, in fact there are two belt clips available, the second can accomadate thicker webbing type belts and is an option on all Chinooks.
Despite the ruggedness and toughnes of the Chinook and even with a MASSIVE capacity 3200 mAh Lithum Ion battery the Chinook weighs in at high quality feel of 300g and yet is slim at only 54.5mm wide.
The HUSKY Chinook is our most advanced DMR radio to date and is the platform for at least two further models, but we try to make sure the basics are perfect so that the more advanced features can work even better for longer.
For instance the belt clip retaining screws are 2.5 times longer that any previous HUSKY model and come with lock rings ensuring that the belt clip stays attached to the radio body. There is also a lanyard or wrist strap connector/hole that is attached to the radio body in no less than three points. Every Chinnok has it model type ID plate under the belt clip and one can see the on/off volume control switch and knob is well protected by a formed and textured collar.
Wolfsin audio accessories use one of the best multi-pin sockets with a screw lock feature.
